Labs, drawn three ways, read by a provider
Orbit Labs is the telehealth lab testing layer inside MyOrbitHealth. A licensed provider from the network of 2,400+ board-certified MDs, DOs, NPs and PAs orders the panel, the patient picks how the sample gets collected, and the same provider reads the results into the patient's plan under your brand. Collection happens one of three ways: a walk-in order slip at a Quest Diagnostics or Labcorp patient service center, a Tasso at-home kit shipped to the door and returned by FedEx pickup, or a mobile phlebotomy nurse who draws the sample at the patient's home or office. Your storefront can also carry a patient self-order lab catalog, with every order signed by a provider before it reaches the lab. Patients see each order move through seven states, from ordered to in plan, in the portal and app, and your team sees the same states in OrbitOS. Developers reach the whole flow through the REST API, webhooks and React SDK. Lab pricing is quoted per program at onboarding, and the brand stays merchant of record. Available in all 50 states as of September 2026.
What Orbit Labs does
Most telehealth programs stall when the provider needs a blood value and the brand has no way to get one. Orbit Labs closes that gap without asking you to contract a lab, build a requisition workflow or hire a phlebotomist.
A provider orders the panel
Every lab order originates with a licensed provider in the network and carries the clinician's credentials, the clinical context and the patient's identity through to the lab. MyOrbitHealth does not practice medicine; the ordering provider does.
The patient chooses collection
At checkout or from the portal, the patient picks a walk-in slip for Quest Diagnostics or Labcorp, a Tasso at-home kit, or a mobile phlebotomy visit. Your program can enable all three or restrict the options by panel or by state.
The provider reads results into the plan
Results route back to the ordering provider, who reviews each value, flags anything out of range and writes the interpretation and next step into the patient's plan. The patient sees a reviewed result, not a raw PDF.
Results land in portal, chart and dashboard
The same result appears in the patient's portal and app, the OrbitOS encounter record and your operational reporting, so operators see which orders are outstanding and which kits have not come back.

Lab pricing is scoped with your platform fee at onboarding and depends on the panels, collection methods and states you serve. We do not publish a rate card. No revenue share; the brand is merchant of record.
Three ways to collect a sample
Collection method is the biggest driver of completion in telehealth lab testing. A patient who will not drive to a draw site may happily collect at home, and one who distrusts a home kit may want a nurse. Offering all three keeps the order alive.

Patient self-order lab catalog on your storefront
Direct to consumer lab testing is a program on its own, not just a step inside one. Orbit Labs lets your storefront list panels a patient can buy without booking a visit first, while keeping a licensed provider on every order.
A catalog under your brand
Panels appear on your storefront with your name, your copy and your checkout; the patient never sees a MyOrbitHealth or lab-vendor brand. A patient who buys a panel already has a portal login and a chart.
A provider signs every order
Self-order does not mean unsupervised. Each purchase routes to a licensed provider in the patient's state, who reviews it against the intake and signs the order before the lab sees it. If the request is inappropriate, the provider declines and the patient is refunded through your processor. Pricing set by you
You set the retail price for every panel. Your cost is quoted per program at onboarding, and the margin between that and the storefront price is yours, because there is no revenue share and you are merchant of record.
Results still reviewed
A self-ordered result is read by a provider the same way a program result is, with an interpretation and, where appropriate, an offer to book a visit. For many brands the catalog is the top of the funnel for TRT, HRT and GLP-1 enrollment.
Common panels
Brands typically list a comprehensive metabolic panel, a lipid panel, a complete blood count, thyroid function, a hormone panel with total and free testosterone, and program add-ons such as A1c, PSA, estradiol or vitamin D. Panel contents are configured per program with your medical director.
Result states and turnaround
Orbit Labs shows the same seven states to the patient, the provider and the operator, so nobody has to email to ask. Typical lab turnaround applies at each step; we do not promise a fixed number of days because it depends on the panel, the collection method and the processing lab.

Labs API and webhooks
Teams searching for a lab testing API, a Labcorp API or a Quest Diagnostics API usually want to avoid building requisition, routing and result-parsing logic themselves. Orbit Labs exposes the whole flow through the same REST API, webhooks and React SDK as the rest of the platform.
Order labs from your product via REST
Create a lab order against a patient, specify the panel and collection method, and the request routes to a provider for signature. The API returns the order with its current state and, for walk-in orders, the requisition. Integration details are in the API docs.
Webhook events per result state
Every transition, from ordered through in plan, fires a webhook with the order id, patient id and new state, so your product can update its UI or open a follow-up task without polling. Payload schemas and retry behavior are in the API docs.
React SDK components
Drop-in components render the collection chooser, the order tracker and the reviewed-result view inside your own React application, styled to your brand, with hooks over the same endpoints if you would rather build your own UI.

Which programs need labs
Some programs cannot be prescribed responsibly without a baseline value, and most retain better when a recheck is part of the subscription.
TRT: baseline and rechecks
Testosterone programs need a baseline testosterone value before a prescription and periodic rechecks of testosterone, hematocrit, PSA and estradiol once therapy starts. Tasso kits make the recheck cadence realistic for a subscriber who will not keep driving to a draw site.
HRT and menopause
Women's health programs commonly baseline estradiol, FSH, thyroid function and a metabolic panel, then recheck on the protocol your medical director sets.
GLP-1 metabolic panel
GLP-1 programs typically order a comprehensive metabolic panel, A1c, lipids and thyroid function at baseline, with rechecks as the patient titrates. A reviewed result in the plan is also how many brands document medical necessity in the chart.
Peptides and longevity
Peptide and longevity programs lean on broader panels: metabolic, lipid, inflammatory markers, IGF-1 and hormone values, repeated on a schedule. These programs most often run a self-order catalog as the front door.
Sexual health
Hormone panels, STI screening where the lab and state permit, and metabolic markers that inform ED and libido treatment. At-home and mobile collection remove the waiting-room step entirely.
Wellness catalog
Brands with no prescribing program still sell labs. A wellness catalog of metabolic, thyroid, lipid, CBC and vitamin panels, each signed by a provider and returned with a reviewed interpretation, is a complete direct to consumer lab testing offer on its own and a natural feeder into a program later.

- Yes. A Tasso device collects a small capillary blood sample from the upper arm rather than a venous sample from a vein, and the processing lab runs validated assays on it. Capillary and venous results are not interchangeable for every analyte, so which panels are offered on the Tasso method is set by the lab and confirmed with your medical director at onboarding. Panels that require a venous draw use the walk-in or mobile phlebotomy option.
