Part 01
What MyOrbitHealth is and is not
Telehealth in the United States is regulated state by state, and most states restrict who may own a medical practice or dispense medication. The lines below matter for contracts, for diligence and for how a partner describes the relationship to its own customers.
A technology company, not a medical group
MyOrbitHealth builds and operates software, pharmacy and lab integrations, provider network operations and the compliance scaffolding that sits around them.
- It does not own a medical practice and it does not employ clinicians to treat the public under its own name.
- Care is delivered by licensed providers who operate under an MSO / friendly-PC arrangement.
- Clinical decisions belong to the licensed clinician on the encounter, never to MyOrbitHealth and never to the partner brand.
Not a pharmacy
OrbitRx routes prescriptions through Surescripts to a LegitScript-certified pharmacy network made up of 503A compounding and retail pharmacies, with cold-chain shipping to all 50 states.
- MyOrbitHealth does not compound, hold or dispense medication itself.
- Pharmacy cost passes through to the brand at 0% markup.
- Partner pharmacies are DEA-registered where applicable.
- Individual pharmacy partners are not named publicly.
Not a consumer telehealth service
There is no MyOrbitHealth-branded clinic that patients sign up for.
- Patients see the partner's brand on the storefront, the intake, the patient portal, the app and the encounter.
- MyOrbitHealth sells to the business behind that brand.
- If you are a patient looking for care, you will find it through one of the brands that runs on the platform, not here.
What the affiliated provider network does
The Provider Network is 2,400+ board-certified MDs, DOs, NPs and PAs covering 38+ specialties in all 50 states.
- Providers review Orbit Intake submissions, hold synchronous or asynchronous encounters as state law requires, order and read labs, prescribe through OrbitRx, and are matched to patients by live availability and intelligent load balancing.
- Average response is under six minutes during business hours, with 24-hour visit availability.
- Credentialing follows NCQA-standard primary-source verification with monthly OIG and SAM exclusion screening.
- Brands that already have their own clinicians can bring them onto the platform.
Part 02
The platform
Every product below carries the partner's brand. Together they cover the patient journey from checkout to prescription and refill, and the operator's view of all of it.
| OrbitOS | Multi-tenant clinical console: patients, encounters, prescriptions, providers, role-based access, real-time uptime, latency and queue health, operational and revenue/retention reporting, and a full HIPAA audit trail. |
|---|---|
| Orbit Intake | AI-driven adaptive medical intake with severity scoring and red-flag escalation, white-labeled per brand so the questionnaire reads as the partner's own. |
| OrbitRx | EPCS-ready e-prescribing routed via Surescripts to a LegitScript-certified pharmacy network (503A compounding plus retail), cold-chain shipping to all 50 states, 0% medication markup. |
| Orbit Labs | Provider-ordered labs drawn three ways: Quest Diagnostics or Labcorp walk-in order slip, Tasso at-home kit returned via FedEx, or mobile phlebotomy. Results are read by the provider into the plan. A patient self-order lab catalog sits on the storefront, with every order signed by a provider. Lab pricing is quoted per program. |
| Provider Network | 2,400+ board-certified providers (MD/DO/NP/PA), 38+ specialties, all 50 states, average response under six minutes during business hours, 24-hour visit availability, NCQA-standard credentialing with monthly OIG/SAM screening, bring-your-own-providers supported. |
| Storefront and app | Branded storefront with checkout and subscriptions, patient portal, and a native white-label iOS and Android app, all included in the platform. |
| Developer product | Product REST API at https://api.myorbithealth.com/v1 with bearer-token auth and test/live environment-scoped keys, path versioning, rate limit of 600 requests per minute per key with burst to 1,200, documented endpoints for patients, appointments, prescriptions and webhook registration, signed webhooks (events such as appointment.completed and prescription.dispensed) and a React SDK. Sandbox is provisioned within a day after a short partner review. See /api-docs and /telehealth-api. |
| AI-agent layer | Free, no-auth public MCP server at myorbithealth.com/mcp with 21 tools (19 read, 2 consent-gated action tools), an agent REST API with an OpenAPI 3.1 contract at /openapi.json, the npm CLI npx myorbithealth, llms.txt and llms-full.txt, .md mirrors of every page, an RSS feed and .well-known discovery files. Separate from the product API. See /developers. |

Part 04
How the company works with brands
The commercial terms are published as a model rather than a price list, because the platform fee is scoped to the verticals, states and volume a brand is launching with.
Fee model
A flat platform fee is scoped at onboarding.
- Medication cost passes through from the pharmacy at 0% markup.
- There is no revenue share on consults, subscriptions or product sales.
- There is no published price list; directional ranges live in the startup cost calculator at /tools/startup-cost-calculator, and a scoped quote comes from a discovery call.
Ownership
The brand owns its company, its brand, its patients, its records and its data.
Export is available at any time, not only at termination. MyOrbitHealth does not market to a partner's patients and does not run a competing consumer clinic.
Month to month
After onboarding, the relationship is month to month.
There is no exit fee and no termination fee. A brand that leaves takes its patient data with it, which is the practical test of whether a platform's ownership language means anything.
Merchant of record
The brand is the merchant of record.
Patients pay the brand, charges appear under the brand's name, and the brand controls pricing, subscriptions and refunds through the included storefront or its own checkout via the API.
Part 05
Compliance posture
The exact phrasing below is the phrasing MyOrbitHealth uses in contracts and on /compliance. Documents behind each line are available to buyers; see /verify for what to request and where to check.
| HIPAA | HIPAA compliant, with a Business Associate Agreement in every contract. PHI is encrypted and stored in US regions. |
|---|---|
| SOC 2 Type II | SOC 2 Type II; the report is shared with buyers on request under NDA. |
| HITRUST | HITRUST-aligned architecture. This is a control alignment, not a claim of HITRUST certification. |
| EPCS | Electronic prescribing of controlled substances with two-factor identity proofing, routed through Surescripts. DEA-registered partner pharmacies where applicable. |
| NCQA-standard credentialing | Primary-source verification of licensure, board certification and identity for every provider, with monthly screening against the HHS-OIG List of Excluded Individuals/Entities and SAM.gov. |
| LegitScript certification | LegitScript Healthcare Merchant Certification, identifier 13128779, verifiable at https://www.legitscript.com/websites/?checker_keywords=myorbithealth.com. The pharmacy network is LegitScript-certified. MyOrbitHealth also prepares, files and manages partner brands' own applications; approval is typically days once filed, and LegitScript makes the decision. |
| Subprocessors | The subprocessor list is published at /subprocessors. The security page is at /security and the Data Processing Addendum at /dpa. |
